Combat boots are having a comeback with celebrities like Rita Ora walking the red carpet in them, and 90s grunge style being back in our style radar. I wish I had pictures to scan and show you, but I was definitely a grunge 90s child. A pair of combat boots I owned never left my feet, and they were styled with colored tights, scrunched down socks, flow-y dresses with cute prints, denim vests and the occasional sunflower hat on my head. Yeah, that same one you remember from the TV show Blossom. Oh, the 90s!
However, the look of a nice combat boot worn with a laid-back, comfy dress is still a look I really enjoy. The duality of the femininity of a dress and a delicate print paired with the masculinity of a combat boot is perfect to showcase the same elements in your personality. Consider as an added bonus the fact that it is a pretty cool look, and that styled correctly these boots can be worn during the summer with flow-y dresses and shorts and skinny jeans and thick tights during the winter months.
