Do you have a tablet? If you are always on the go, and need a way to stay productive, owning a tablet might be the answer for you. As a blogger, I’m always on the go… One day there is a fashion showcase here, the next a happy hour there. While commuting, or sometimes between events, my life calls for a latte and somewhere with a reliable internet connection to get some work done. However, schlepping my laptop around all day is not the most convenient or fashionable (cue bulky second bag!), so I was very happy when Intel offered me a tablet for me to use, enjoy and report back on. Keep reading to learn what are the basic apps I’m always using on my Acer Iconia Tab 8 Intel tablet . (This model is yet to hit shelves and it’ll only cost you $150! How haute is that?!)
When you first get an Intel tablet there are certain things that you’ll want to have and know how to use in order to start your Intel adventure. First, I love that you can connect it to your Google/Gmail account to access all of your G-life. After connecting it to your wifi connection, you are able to access your Gmail account and navigate Chrome just like you do on your computer. However, the size and lightness of the tablet will invite you to bring it with you everywhere! You know what? Now that I think of it, you’re Intel tablet is like an efficient assistant to your laptop. Whenever it can’t show up, your tablet is there to the rescue. And, as your trusty tech companion, you can also customize it… from the wallpaper on your screen to the case, and even add a keyboard for easier typing. Get ready to be your most productive self! Now, learn more about my favorite basic Intel tablet apps. These help me stay informed, connected and entertained at all times.
This fashionista needs to always know how many layers she’ll need to wear that day, and with just a press of a button my Intel tablet gives me the date, time and local weather. For more in-depth information, like how the weather is going to be in the next 25 minutes (maybe I’ll need an umbrella for later?), I can just go to my weather app of choice. My tablet came ready with AccuWeather and I’m loving it!
When I’m on the go, and even at home, and also in my head… I need to listen to music. It keeps me energized, happy, and inspired! Music is like oxygen for me, so it’s great that I can stream my favorite music from my favorite music apps. You’ll usually find me shuffling my favorite stations on Pandora Radio. This is also pretty convenient when I want to take my music around the apartment. This one over here loves cooking with music, and, yes, showering with music, too. Taking a small, light tablet to the kitchen and bathroom is way easier than dragging my laptop all over the place.
Thanks to photographer Chris Borgman for helping take some of this fun pics!
This is pretty standard, but, if your life is ruled by communicating through e-mail as much as mine, you’ll want to know that with just one tap you can access your Gmail account. The look is very clean and streamlined, helping you swipe through your e-mails to read and reply to your most pressing ones… or not!
