Caliche Rum invited me last month to a night of delicious appetizers and Caliche cocktails at Amelia’s Bistro in Downtown Jersey City. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and a bar perfect to enjoy a drink, and some finger food with a friend. Every single bite that I had was delicious, and I can’t wait to go back for a full meal.
Now, going back to Caliche Rum and their refreshing cocktails. I was really impressed with their recipe for a Caliche Mojito. Personally, I love the taste of a good Mojito, but rarely order them because I am not a fan of all the lime pulp and pieces of mint leaves getting in the way of my drinking. Caliche Rum’s recipe, however, is clean, refreshing and easy to drink. This Mojito with a twist still has the summer-y flavor of lime and the freshness of mint leaves as a garnish. Read below for Caliche Rum’s recipe for a Caliche Mojito.
2 oz. Caliche Rum / 1 oz. Fresh Lime Juice / 3/4 oz. Agave Nectar / Mint Sprig for garnish
Put all of the ingredients in a shaker. Shake, and serve in a glass with crushed ice. Garnish with a mint sprig, and enjoy!
