Raise your hand if you are a fan of the show “Queen of the South”! I recently discovered this show looking for something new to watch and I was hooked in the first five minutes of the first episode. So it’s great news that Queen of the South is back on USA Network on Thursdays at 9/10c for season 2! No matter if you are already into the show or about to jump into the action, I bring you the perfect cocktail to enjoy with the show as part of a girls night in or some well-deserved me time.
Happy Columbus Day!
If you follow me on Twitter (@HauteCocktail) or Instagram (@carla327) you might have noticed that this past weekend I spent my days packing and moving furniture and boxes into my new apartment. It is because of this that there is no outfit post today, as I spent the weekend in old jeans, sneakers and a plain t-shirt. Believe me, no sartorial inspiration whatsoever.
However, today we celebrate Columbus Day! You might go to work, you might take a half day or maybe you are one of the lucky ones enjoying a long weekend. No matter what, you can make the day more special by checking out the Columbus Day parade, taking advantage of Columbus Day sales or by just staying warm at home with this cocktail recipe. Celebrate Columbus Day with a Columbus Cocktail!
Last night I made it to the gym with my boyfriend for a spinning class. Afterwards, we decided to grab some sushi for dinner and a very craved drink. The special at Sushi Lounge last night was a Pina Colada Martini, and this my friends is the cocktail I’m sharing with all of you today. I thought that now that the days are starting to feel cooler, such a tropical inspired cocktail would be a great way to say good-bye to the summer.
We’ve made it through one more week and we all know what that means… It’s time to enjoy a cocktail! Do you remember when I introduced you to Blat Vodka? If you still don’t know about this advanced, pure vodka take a look at my post here. It recounts a night out in the town with creator of Blat Vodka, Esteban Banus and mixologist Isidro Gutierrez.
Isidro has concocted a sweet and refreshing cocktail for all of you to try at home. Take a look below to find the recipe for a Midnight Tea.
