I love exploring New York City and any other place I might find myself visiting (See what I did in Chicago over here!). I strongly believe that everywhere you go has its charm and its fair share of things to see, do, eat, and enjoy. Obviously, the Big Apple has way more than a “fair share” of places to check out and try. I mean, every week there is a new place to make an appearance at or that makes its way to number one in a trendy hit list, turning it into a very crowded must-try. However, crowded or not, we love to explore, eat, and have fun. Case in point: Chefs Club Counter in SoHo! The which I have seen climbing up FourSquare’s weekly top list.
It was a pleasure to make my way to Brooklyn Heights last month to enjoy the flavors of recently opened La Barrita Argentinian Steakhouse and Wine Bar. This new spot is bringing Argentinian culture and authentic dishes to New York. The restaurant was brought to life thanks to restaurateur Nando Ghorchian and the creativity and passion of Sebastian Cardona who serves as the creator of this welcoming and alluring steakhouse. When I was invited to check out Lower East Side restaurant, LOVECRAFT, and their menu created my Chopped Champion, Christopher Coleman, I jumped at the opportunity to explore. There were too many things I was loving about this combination. Starting with the mysterious name, to tasting dishes made by a Chopped Champion. I mean… Who hasn’t spent countless hours in front of the TV watching the Food Network’s menu of shows, including Chopped? Yeah… that’s what I thought.
