I love exploring New York City and any other place I might find myself visiting (See what I did in Chicago over here!). I strongly believe that everywhere you go has its charm and its fair share of things to see, do, eat, and enjoy. Obviously, the Big Apple has way more than a “fair share” of places to check out and try. I mean, every week there is a new place to make an appearance at or that makes its way to number one in a trendy hit list, turning it into a very crowded must-try. However, crowded or not, we love to explore, eat, and have fun. Case in point: Chefs Club Counter in SoHo! The which I have seen climbing up FourSquare’s weekly top list.
What’s the Concept?
Chefs Club Counter opened its doors back in late March on the iconic corner of Spring and Lafayette streets in SoHo. The first-of-its-kind counter service establishment will focus on bringing fine fast food from acclaimed chefs to the masses. So, if you are a foodie who wants to try the best dishes from great chefs, this is the place to go for a more affordable and laid-back atmosphere. Belgian entrepreneur, Stephane De Baets, is behind this innovative concept, while the menu will be curated by Culinary Director, Didier Elena. The menu will be a selection of dishes that will be available in limited quantities and for a limited time making this restaurant a must-visit for an eternity.
My Thoughts on Chefs Club Counter
The atmosphere? Casual, yet elegant and modern looking. I loved that you can choose to sit down in their bright dining room, or just grab your food from the counter and nom nom away by a standing table in the back area. The food? Extremely tasty classics that will have you coming back for more. I had the Eggslut Crostini, Tomato & Stracciatella Pizza, and the JG Burger Slider. It took a lot of effort to not go for seconds of everything, especially the JG Burger Slider. So, bottom line? Definitely, a great place to try with your favorite coworker or with a fun group of friends on the weekend.
