I’ve had an interest in Japanese culture since I was in high school. With its anime, interesting cuisine, and cherry blossoms, Japan quickly climbed to the top of my list of places to visit.
Even though I haven’t yet visited Japan, I believe in dreaming about and researching a destination until I’m ready to plan a trip and cross the seas for a new adventure. I also like to apply this theory to all of my personal dreams and goals. I dreamed and researched until I was ready to move from Puerto Rico to New York City 10 years ago, and I did it again more recently when I moved to Miami and back to New York. But those are stories for another day.
Are you thinking about planning a trip to Japan, too? Book your flight, find a fabulous hotel like the InterContinental Osaka, and add these places to your travel itinerary.
Osaka is a large port city on the Japanese island of Honshu. It’s known around the globe for its modern architecture, fabulous nightlife, and hearty street food. Its main historical landmark is Osaka Castle, which is surrounded by a moat and park with plum, peach, and sakura trees. That means it’s a great location for everyone who enjoys great design and delicious food as well as anyone who can keep up with a vibrant nightlife.
As you build your Osaka itinerary, I would suggest adding Osaka Castle to your travel plans along with a self-guided walk around the city so you can take in all the beautiful design and enjoy a yummy street food find. When night falls, delight your senses at any of the following top-rated cocktail bars.
