This yellow cotton knit dress, by Lime & Vine, is both casual and fun. I can wear it as is for a comfy day of running errands or catching with friends over lunch with sneakers, or I can belt it and wear a pair of heels for a cool girl status look for a night out. (See how I wore it for NYFW on my Instagram!) Layers add depth to any ensemble, and because fall is here, adding a leather vest was an easy way to give even more personality to this dress. (See how I also styled this vest here).
This look called for a fun pair of sneakers for a day of press conferences, checking the space for the People en Español Festival that happened earlier this month in NYC, grabbing lunch, walking around the city with friends and then meeting with more friends for dinner. I’m a Fashionista that’s all about comfort without sacrificing that cool and edgy factor. So, I paired the dress with this pair of Adidas leopard print sneakers that also happen to glow in the dark! #Love (First I made sure to spray my sneakers with Force Field to protect them from water and dirt, ’cause we all know how dirty NYC can be!)
I finished the look bringing out more of the red and yellow of the outfit by matching two minimalistic rings. The red ring was one of my first jewelry gifts to myself and the yellow-ish ring is from Dune Jewelry, a company that customizes jewelry pieces with sand from all over the world. (Christmas gift idea alert!) This ring was made with sand from San Juan, Puerto Rico. (That’s where I was born and raised!)
Oh… And about that Force Field. Get ready for their launch next month, and while you are at it check out the video below!
