Halloween is next Monday! That means that this weekend we will be dressing up, going to parties and celebrating the fun festivities with friends and family. I partnered up with Crystal Head Vodka to make a Halloween cocktail perfect to celebrate the occasion with. Their bottle is in the shape of a skull making it the perfect addition to your Halloween decor or a very on point Halloween hostess gift. Keep reading for more on the inspiration of the cocktail, for the recipe and a special surprise!
When I thought about the crystal skull that makes up the bottle of Crystal Head Vodka, it brought of thoughts of skeletons and remains. So, with crushed chocolate cookies and gummy worms I created what looks like the dirt, soil and worms that you would encounter while digging through a tomb to find a magical crystal skull. In order to balance the crushed cookies and gummy worms, I concocted a thick and creamy cocktail that’s reminiscent of a chocolate cookies and cream smoothie.
The cocktail, which I named ‘Tomb’s Remains’, is perfect to make as dessert for your guests during a Halloween dinner party or make for a small group of friends (or significant other!) to stay in watching scary movies. This Halloween cocktail is sweet, creamy and filling and the perfect combination of sweet indulgence and adult Halloween fun! I made mine with fat free Greek yogurt for a healthier take, but feel free to switch that for a scoop of ice cream. Cheers to a spooktacular Halloween!
2 oz. Crystal Head Vodka
1 oz. Creme de Cacao
1 oz. Milk of Choice
1/2 cup of Fat Free Greek Yogurt
3-4 Crushed Chocolate Creme Filled Cookies
Fat Free Whipped Topping
1-2 Worm Gummies
- Put chocolate creme filled cookies in a plastic bag and crush with a rolling pin.
- Scoop 4 oz of the crushed cookies and put them in a blender.
- Add yogurt, milk, chocolate syrup to taste, vodka and creme de cacao to the blender and blend until smooth.
- Pour into a whiskey glass and top with whipped topping, remainder of the crushed cookies and gummy worms.
Now that you have a cocktail in hand, get ready to check out this short film I acted in once upon a time, that tells the story about a magical crystal skull. Enjoy!
