The east coast is working hard at keeping warm and dry this weekend as a snowstorm approaches us. I’m already rocking some fleece for comfort and warmth! However, another great way to keep warm and entertained indoors is with a delicious cocktail. Add a dash of good movies to catch on Netflix, a good book or, in my case, some school work to catch up with and you’re ready to hibernate.
Last weekend I venture with the boyfriend to Amanda’s Restaurant in Hoboken to take advantage of Hudson Restaurant Week. As the cocktailista that I am I had to start the night with one of their cocktails. So, I went ahead and ordered a Key Lime Pie martini. This cocktail never gets old… I mean, its dessert in a martini glass! So, I’m sharing with you a similar recipe for you to recreate at home. Funny story… I also had their decadent Key Lime Pie for dessert! (Wish I had paired them together… maybe next time.)
4 oz. Key Lime liqueur or Key Lime Pie Vodka / 1 1/2 oz. Lime Juice / 1/2 oz. Pineapple Juice
Mix all ingredients in a shaker with ice and pour into a martini glass. If desired garnish the martini glass rim with crushed graham crackers and a lime wedge. Enjoy!
