It’s Oscars Monday, which means that today we get to review the best dresses, moments and performances of the night. I have to say, there were a lot of fabulous dresses on the red carpet last night and a couple of trends that we might want to keep in mind for all the upcoming spring/summer events. I’ll start with my favorite dresses of the night (in no specific order).
Charlize Theron in Christian Dior Couture: Love the structured bodice of this dress and the flirty and sparkly peplum. The neckline is sexy, but still manages to keep things elegant and the mermaid-cut skirt makes this dress even more flattering and regal.
Jennifer Lawrence in Christian Dior Couture: The volume and structure of this dress are to die for. Love how this not so little number accentuates the waist and hips and then opens dramatically at the bottom and back. Feminine and romantic, this dress is kept modern thanks to the color block effect of pretty in pink in the front and white in the back.
Amy Adams in Oscar de la Renta: The volume and beautiful detail is what makes this dress a stunner. Loving all the small ruffles that not only make this dress pretty and romantic but flattering as well.
Naomi Watts in Armani Prive: A full sequined dress that keeps it flattering. What I love the most about this dress is its amazing neckline that is both sexy and fun.
Aside from finding inspiration from these fabulous dresses we can also take away a list of trends that we can incorporate into our own wardrobes. Check out some of the haute trends below.
