Bottomless Closet NYC is an organization helping women overcome poverty and achieve self-sufficiency. They do this through workshops that motivate, empower and enhance women’s self-confidence and self-esteem. Not only do they make women feel that everything is possible, and that their lives do have the potential to change for the better, but they also help them improve their skills and resume, while helping them look for and land a job. I was really happy to have joined a group of amazing women alongside celebrity stylist Derek Warburton II last night to share our stories, empower ourselves, and help the women who attended style and pick two items to take home. These items are donated by great companies and brands and are given to clients for free. Having beautiful, professional looking clothes is another way that Bottomless Closet NYC helps infuse confidence in women when attending interviews, or a newly found job.
In behalf of Bottomless Closet NYC, Haute Cocktail would like to extend an invitation to any company, brand or individual that is able to donate either money or fashions appropriate for interviews and work. Anything and everything including jewelry is welcome, and they are really in need of handbags and shoes. You can read more on donating to Bottomless Closet NYC, and plan your donation.
I helped style Sheila, who got two very cute dresses to wear to her upcoming interviews.
