At the end of March, I decided to pack my wardrobe and martini glasses and move to Miami. I was in search of the sun, color, fun and a little bit of extra magic in my life and surroundings. So here I am since landing in mid-July. My dad took the opportunity to take a vacation and help me find my new headquarters, or how I like to call it, ‘The Club House’, as my homes are always a place of gathering and fun, and I’m sure this one will be no exception. However, before I found the perfect apartment I stayed in hotels, and one of them was the YVE Hotel in Downtown Miami.
I was really excited to stay at YVE Hotel Miami in Downtown! Getting to Brickell, South Beach or Wynwood were a breeze, and I enjoyed being able to walk to a couple of nearby restaurants and shops. (I wanted a change of scenery, but there is still a fast paced walking New Yorker in me, you know?) The look of the hotel is very clean and modern… very… step into a cool Miami lounge feel. Even the music was great to listen to in the lobby while enjoying their evening complimentary cocktail and all the way to my floor in the elevators.
Rooms are spacious and comfortable with plush beds, wall-mounted flat screen TVs, free daily bottles of water, and amazingly scented bath products to pamper yourself with. I loved waking up to the view of the bay and having a place to work right by the window. Other amenities include room service from their downstairs restaurant, Biscayne Tavern, (where we got a discount as guests!), valet parking (although there is a not so fun daily fee), and a pretty nice gym I basically used as my haven to sweat out my worries and all the calories eaten throughout the day while enjoying my favorite tunes.
So, if you are looking for a central place to enjoy Miami for business or for pleasure YVE Hotel Miami is a trendy and competitively priced option for you. Plus, everyone was super nice! Follow YVE Hotel on Facebook and Twitter to learn about things to do in Miami, sweepstakes and other fun surprises.

YVE and I were twinsies! We didn’t even plan it… I guess that’s how we roll together.
